6/28-7/4

Mixed greens strawberry salad


Saturday: (Mary Lou still in town?)
Process strawberries and blueberries (strawberries: slice and freeze; puree and freeze)
Make fruit salsa (substitute available fresh fruit) OR strawberry mango salsa
Make tomato salsa
Make zucchini, coconut, lime, blueberry, banana bread
zucchini casserole, Hawaiian chicken thighs, strawberry mango jicama salad

Sunday:
pasta, sauce and meatballs with tomato and fresh basil crostini and spinach and avocado salad
(a meatball recipe but not my usual one from Pasta, Please! by Country Woman magazine)

Monday:
Make ice cream!
chicken gyros,
cucumber tomato mozzarella salad with balsamic
fruit salsa

Tuesday:
Make ice cream!
Grilled steak, corn on the cob, jicama fries, Gourmet salad, potato packets, mushrooms

Wednesday:
Rotini pasta with chicken, broccoli, tomatoes, parmesan, and fresh basil, blueberry romaine salad (substitute cheddar cheese for swiss)

Thursday: (BBQ with school staff here)
Grizzly burgers and hot dogs with fixings (ketchup, mustard, mayo, pickles, onion, lettuce, tomato, buns)--enough for 18-20 people)
Homemade ice cream (vanilla, strawberry, blueberry (or mixed berry), nectarine ??)
Watermelon (sticks and stars)
Canned pop, various
Plus what everyone else brings


Friday: (4th of July; Mom and Dad coming)
Grizzly burgers and hot dogs with fixings (ketchup, mustard, mayo, pickles, onion, lettuce, tomato, buns)--enough for 6-7 adults and 3 kids
Homemade ice cream (vanilla, strawberry, blueberry (or mixed berry), nectarine ??)
Watermelon (sticks and stars)
Corn on the cob (??)
Deviled eggs (Billye)
Chips and Jello (Mom)
